A former mining executive charged with 136 offences after allegedly defrauding his ex-employer of almost $2 million will face court in Orange later this month after the matter was adjourned on Monday morning.

Police will allege Brian Joseph Locke, 72, used his employment at the mining company Gold and Copper Resources to fraudulently obtain more than $1.9 million.
Detectives from the State Crime Command's Financial Crimes Squad, with assistance from Central West Police District, established Strike Force Curnuck to investigate reports of fraudulent offences committed against a mining company between 2009 and 2017.

On January 18 detectives served Mr Locke, from Huntley, with a Court Attendance Notice for 56 offences, including dishonestly obtain financial advantage by deception and obtain money by deception (greater than $5,000).
Investigations under Strike Force Curnuck are continuing.
