A man believed to be aged in his 60s has died after a horror crash on The Bucketts Way near Stroud Wednesday afternoon. Multiple NSW Ambulance units, and a specialist medical team, were called to the scene just before 1pm after reports a car and a truck had collided leaving one person critically injured. Police later confirmed that a sedan and truck had been involved in a crash near Stroud Road at Craven and that the yet to be identified driver of the sedan had died at the scene. The road was closed in both directions for several hours, and remained closed around 4.30pm, with diversions via Johnson Creek Road, as officers from Port Stephens-Hunters Police District attended and established a crime scene. A truck driver was taken to Taree Hospital for mandatory testing, police said. IN THE NEWS: Our journalists work hard to provide local, up-to-date news to the community.
