Fayah McKenzie is part of a trio called the Orange Fauves whose works range from abstract landscapes, Impressionism and the expressive function of colour and texture similar to the Fauves Movement of the early 20th Century.
Last year they partnered with the Orange Regional Conservatorium (ORC) to display their pieces throughout the first few months of the year. This of course meant that it overlapped with the Covid outbreak.
But thankfully, the pandemic didn't impact them too much.
"There were still people coming to the conservatorium for private groups and we learned that people who were just wandering through the halls liked our works," Ms McKenzie said.
"The conservatorium then administered the sales for us, so we didn't have to be physically there to sell anything.
"We were surprised because despite there being no performances at the conservatorium that we each sold pieces."
And now they will be back again from the end of January.
Ms McKenzie is hoping for bigger and better things this time around.
"Our artwork brightens up a corridor that leads into the auditorium.
"It's been difficult with the last year because of Covid, because some of the shows that conservatorium usually puts on haven't been going ahead.
"We're just saying our appreciation to them for letting us use this wall space."
The ORC will receive a commission and benefit from all artworks sold, to help the many music programs there.
