While numbers weren't quite as high as previous events, Megan Goodwin was still pleased with how this year's Sandy Ostini Ladies Colour Triathlon went.

Saturday marked the third instalment of the women-only event which doubles as a fundraiser for the Cancer Council to remember Sandy Ostini, who lost her battle with breast cancer in 2018.
Ms Goodwin is one of the organisers who helped put this year's event together and said nearly three-dozen people turned up at Gosling Creek Reserve to take part.

"The standout from the day was that there were lots of people who dressed up and wore a lot of colour," she said.
"I think there was was a little bit of nervousness as some of the people hadn't done something like that before and it can be daunting at the start. I would say everyone was happy with how it turned out though."
The event included a 200 metre swim, an 8.8 kilometre bike ride and a 2km run, or if you didn't fancy getting wet, you are able to swap that out for another 800 metre run.

Of the 32 participants, it was split pretty evenly between those over and under 18 years old.
This mix was something Ms Goodwin was pleased to see.
"There were obviously people who came out with their kids and mothers who came with daughters," she said.

"We want to see girls go forward with the sport and this is a good opportunity for them to be introduced to it."
"We're trying to make it an annual thing.
"As long as people keep coming and keep having fun we'll keep trying to put it on."
