The 37-year-old man argued with a woman at a house in Orchard Grove Road on November 11 about his drug use.
The woman said she wanted him to leave, and her mother who was also in the house, took hold of him to get him away from her daughter.
However, the man punched the daughter in the right eye and then wrestled with her in a hallway breaking a timber shelf.
The man picked up a piece of wood from the shelf and walked into a bedroom and started gathering belongings before throwing the wood at a window causing it to smash.
When police arrived they found the victim with a sore right eye, a cut and bleeding to her right ear and scratches to her forearms.
The man was arrested and served with a no-contact apprehended violence order. However on April 29 the woman reported that the man had been staying at her address and refused to leave despite being asked to move out everyday.
The man was fined $330 and given a two-year community correction order with rehabilitation and supervision for assault, a six-month CCO for property damage and a three-month CCO for contravening the AVO.
