That's how Molong Bulls president Jenny Barrow feels about a potential merger between Woodbridge Cup and Mid West Cup.
The Woodbridge AGM was held last week, with numerous options floated about how best to go about making sure those in the Mid West will get game time in 2022.
"Personally, we wouldn't like to see Molong go to another competition because we have our Manildra/Molong local derby," Barrow said on the previous suggestion by NSWRL that the Bulls could join the Mid West Cup.
"We've got another game we play against Grenfell in memory of a young Molong boy, we play for the Ian Hanrahan Memorial Shield. So just a few things like that.
"We're hoping that they (Mid West) may join our competition but it's just too early to say and they're looking at different scenarios. From our club's point of view, we welcome other teams into the comp, but wouldn't necessarily go to another competition ourselves."
After a tumultuous season that included injuries and COVID lockdowns, Barrow and the Bulls were delighted to finally be able to hold their presentation last month.
"We had a great presentation day and everyone is keen for 2022. At one stage we didn't think we'd be able to have anything for the year," she said.
"This year there has been delay after delay and everyone was so excited to get back together and start talking footy again."
Major award winners on the night included the Dave Barrow Memorial Award for first grade best and fairest which went to Mitch Gallagher, while Katie Fulwood took out best and fairest for league tag and Jordan Wilson grabbed the youth league's top honour.
Barrow, who planned on standing for president again, said the club hoped to have its AGM by the end of this year and confirmed they would once again field three sides in 2022.
"After all this hard work getting it started again after six years, none of us want to see the club fold," she said.
"We'd like some more helpers on our clubs because like most country clubs, most of them only have a small committee."
