Dave Boundy hit 85 off 81 for the visitors at George Park 1, making up more than half of the Warriors' modest total of 162 with Shaun Grenfell the next best with a run-a-ball 22.
Jack Goodsell (4-38) was the pick of the Saints bowlers.
An understrength Pat's had concerns about their batting depth going into the weekend's clash and it showed on the scorecard, with skipper Adam Ryan's 28 the best effort.
Despite those concerns, the home side got off to a good start and were 3-83 when they lost Connor Slattery for eight.
But this sparked a collapse and Grenfell (3-24 from seven overs), found the big wickets of Slattery (8), Adam Ryan and Derryn Clayton (14).
It was a well-rounded bowling performance from the defending champions as Ed Morrish, Brett Causer and Harry McGregor all picked up two wickets each.
In the end, City were able to hold St Pat's to 9-133 when the match was stopped in the 33rd over.
It's just the third time St Pat's have lost a regular season match since the BOIDC's re-introduction in 2019-20, with two of those now coming against Orange City.
Centrals have earned their first victory of the BOIDC season with a 52-run win against Centennials Bulls at Riawena Oval.
The boys in red and black delivered a well-rounded team performance with the bat, led by Cameron Roberts' 48 and Kyle Nonnenmacher's 34, to make their way to 217. Mick Hutchinson was the standout Bulls performer with the ball, being both economical and destructive with his figures of 3-19 off eight overs.
Centennials were solid with the bat but simply not score quick enough throughout the middle overs, thanks to some tight bowling from the hosts.
Nonnenmacher backed up his performance with the bat and finished with 3-16 off five overs, while Roberts and Darryl Kennewell each bagged two each.
Bulls eventually fell to all out for 165 with one over remaining, with Pat McCleary top scoring on 43.
Fresh off his match-winning bowling performance against Orange City last week, Rugby Union's Sam Macpherson turned to the bat this time to do his damage against City Colts on Saturday.
Macpherson's lightning-quick 97 not out off just 39 balls helped Rugby Union chase down the Colts total of 138 in less than 13 overs.
Fireworks came thick and fast from Macpherson's bat as he belted 15 fours and four sixes at Loco Oval to finish with a strike rate of 249.
It's only a small sample size but Macpherson already looks to be in great touch, as he now moves to an average of 135 thanks to his 38 runs off 21 balls in his previous game.
There was very little joy for Colts with the bat on Saturday.
Outside of handy efforts from Aaron Seymour (47 not out) and Dan Casey (42) there was not much to be happy about, as Colts were all out before 27 overs were bowled.
Oliver Newton (24) had the best seat in the house for the explosive Macpherson before he became Mark Sheather's maiden first grade wicket.
That was the only bright spot for the hosts who couldn't do anything to stop the other Rugby opener from belting the cover off the ball.
Macpherson's effort overshadowed an excellent day with the ball for Percy Raveneau, who finished with 4-30 from his seven overs.
The result leaves Rugby Union as one of just two teams with unbeaten records, alongside Cavaliers.
Rugby will play CYMS in their last fixture before the Christmas break.
THE script said that ORC were supposed to come into the BOIDC competition this season and take some time to find their feet before they'd have a chance of blowing any team away.
The Tigers have decided they're not in the mood for following such a thing.
ORC stunned everyone in the competition on Saturday by recording an emphatic nine wicket victory over Bathurst City at Morse Park 1, led by a brilliant spell of bowling from Tait Borgstahl and three solid performances with the bat from Dave and Wayne Sellers and Ben Cant. City won the toss and elected to bat but saw wickets steadily fall throughout the innings to leave then struggling at 7-97.
Some late heroics by Clinton Moxon, who brought up his first half-century (50 not out off 44 balls) since a second grade effort way back in 2016, helped City post a respectable 168. In reply, O.R.C put its foot down from the start and didn't let up.
Wayne Sellars smashed 43 off 22, while captain Dave Sellars (74) and Ben Cant (52) each finished not out to give them nine-wicket win in just the 24th over.
The BOIDC ladder after five rounds is: Cavaliers first (27 points), Rugby second (26), St Pat's third (20), O.R.C fourth (19), Orange City fifth (18), City Colts sixth (13), Centrals seventh (12), Bathurst City eighth (12), Centennials ninth (6) and CYMS tenth (6).
