Western NSW has recorded 38 new cases of locally acquired COVID-19 as part of a day-by-day record the state continually smashes.

To the 8pm deadline on Friday night, there were 32 cases in Dubbo, two in Bathurst, two in Wellington, one in Walgett, one in Narromine and another, after that deadline, was recorded in Bathurst, deputy premier John Barilaro confirmed on Saturday morning.
The deputy premier also confirmed position sewage detections in Orange and Lithgow.
"Get vaccinated. Get online and book, so we can continue to raise those numbers across regional NSW and help us stop the spread," he added.

The third Bathurst case is reportedly another school student who hasn't been in contact with the school community.
As a whole, NSW recorded 825 new cases of locally acquired COVID-19. An additional seven cases were recorded in hotel quarantine.
The daily tally is 100 more than Victoria's record 725 cases recorded on August 5, 2020.
Of the new cases 96 were infectious while in the community, 92 were in isolation throughout their infectious period and the isolation status of 637 is unknown.
Three people died overnight.
NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian appealed for people to consider the greater good and said only a handful of people were doing the wrong thing but it was having catastrophic consequences.
516 people are currently in hospital with COVID-19, 85 in ICU..
There were 124,610 tests received in the 24 hours to 8pm yesterday, and 120,000 vaccinations delivered.
A Lachlan Shire resident has tested positive for COVID-19.
The woman was infectious while in the community and visited locations in Hillston and Lake Cargelligo.
The venues of concern include:
- St Mary Pharmacy at Lake Cargelligo between 9.50 am and 9.55 am
- Lake Cargelligo IGA between 9.55 am and 10.05 am
- FISHO'S Hot Bake and Takeaway at Lake Cargelligo between 10.05 am and 10.15 am
- The Shed on Lachlan at Hillston between 11.20 am and 11.50 am.
In a statement, the MLHD said the positive case made brief visits to these stores, but anyone who attended these venues at these times should get tested immediately and isolate until further advice from NSW Health.
Across the border, the Shepparton cluster has grown to 17 cases with more expected.
Yesterday 642 cases were recorded in NSW and four deaths. Three of the four people who died with COVID-19 had one dose of the vaccine.
NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian said the state needs to do everything they can to reduce case number and increase vaccination rates.
She extended the Greater Sydney lockdown until the end of September, mandated the use of masks outdoors at all time across NSW apart from when exercising and introduced a curfew in local government areas of concern.
Vaccines will be mandated for childcare and disability care workers.
