Over the weekend, the machine in Edward Street was smashed, much to the dismay of resident Alice Bingham.

"I would hope if there are cameras in the area they getting used to see who did it."

A NSW Environment Protection Authority spokesperson said nearly 15 million containers had been recycled at the Glenroi site its inception.
"The Orange community are avid users of Return and Earn having returned more than 35 million containers for recycling through its two local reverse-vending machines (RVMs) since the scheme launched," they said.
"The RVM at Flipout Orange on 30-44 Edward Street has had over 14.4 million containers returned and currently receives about 20,000 per day. It was disappointing to hear the machine had been vandalised over the weekend but it has been fixed by a technician Monday morning."
