At around 4.30pm on November 15, the 69-year-old woman was driving along Thornton Street in Wellington when a projectile flew through the window of her car and struck her chest.
The woman drove to a nearby address and found her chest to be bruised as a result. Her family returned to Thornton Street and located a pink object on the roadway.
