Australia Day ceremonies were held at 10 Cabonne towns and villages, with Australia Day ambassador Peter Herbert, Cabonne's youth ambassador Hudson Izzard and mayor Kevin Beatty attending ceremonies in Mullion Creek, Cargo and Canowindra.

Mr Herbert, a noted television writer and producer, was associated with iconic series such as The Sullivans, Cop Shop, The Flying Doctors, The Comedy Company and Acropolis Now.
In addition to celebrations visited by Cabonne's official party, Australia Day ceremonies were held in Nashdale, Cudal, Cumnock, Eugowra, Manildra, Molong and Yeoval.
Among the awards was the first Cabonne Council Australia Day Sportsperson of the Year, which was awarded to an outstanding young swimmer from Manildra.
Lachlan Thompson was a State and NSW Country Championship representative, a Western Region and NSW schools representative and multiple medallist at local carnivals.
He is the club champion at Manildra Swimming Club, and is also a member of the Mountains and Plains representative swim team.
Out of the pool, Lachlan is the Manildra Golf Club's junior champion, he plays rugby league for the Cabonne Roos and he was also Manildra Public School's School Captain for 2019.
The Australia Day Environmental Champion Award for Cabonne was awarded to Sally Kirby, a passionate worker for the Central Tablelands Landcare Group, who has been a support officer and coordinator with the group for 10 years.
She works with landholders to implement sustainable land management and biodiversity conservation, including the revegetation of more than 30 hectares of native trees and shrubs on private properties.

Cumnock: Citizen of the Year - Valmai McKenzie; Community Group of the Year - Cumnock War History Group.
Eugowra: Citizen of the Year - Shirley Heinzel; Young Citizen of the Year - Jake Greenhalgh; Community Group of the Year - Eugowra Events and Tourism Association.
Manildra: Citizen of the Year - Sandra Yelland; Young Citizen of the Year - Grace Press; Community Group of the Year - Manildra Twilight Netball.
Molong: Citizen of the Year - Lesley Bye; Young Citizen of the Year - Toby Parry; Community Group of the Year - Molong Hockey Club Cabonne.
Mullion Creek: Citizen of the Year - Toni Searl; Young Citizen of the Year - Abbey Gregory; Community Group of the Year - Mullion Creek Primary School Robotics Group.
