Fire crews were called to a fire in a pine forest near Mullion Creek on Sunday afternoon after it was spotted by a helicopter crew.
Canobolas Zone Rural Fire Service Zone Technical Officer Geoff Selwood said the fire could have been burning for some time before it was spotted by the Forestry Corporation helicopter.
Mr Selwood said five RFS tankers were supporting Forestry crews to put out the fire on Ostini Lane.

Mr Selwood said the fire was in a hard-to-access area.

It was listed as at Advice level by the RFS.
