1969 was a milestone year synonymous with change and the start of a new era.
It was also a hot bed of musical creativity that saw a barrage of amazing albums released throughout the year.
On June 29, the 1969 Band will pay tribute to the year remembered for its musical might and to all the musician legends who came before them.
The 1969 Band will return to the Orange Civic Theatre stage with their show, A Live Tribute to the Greatest Year in Music.
For this 50th anniversary performance the band will take their performance to another level with the addition of a 10 piece orchestra.
With the backing of the live orchestra, the five-piece band will pay homage to 1969 with renditions of hits from artists including The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Russell Morris, Joni Mitchell, The Band, Aretha Franklin and many more.
The band consist of some of the Central West's most celebrated musicians, with Pat and Kellie O'Donnell, Matt Arthur and Kyle Manning all residing in Orange, while drummer Dave Egan calls Ebenezer home.
A Live Tribute to the Greatest Year in Music was created in Orange.
Produced by these veterans of the Ruby Tuesday shows held at The Agrestic Grocer.
The selection of songs include many classic hits and album tracks that have defined and shaped the popular culture of 1969 and beyond.
The backdrop to the performance includes footage of poignant images of events which take the audience back to what was happening when these songs first filled the airwaves.
The show has been well received and shaped since their initial performances back in 2016 and performed in many other locations, including up and down the east coast and Melbourne.
This year the band also appeared at Vivid festival's And Love Will Steer the Stars.
