According to the Bereau of Meteorology, the city will have an extra tinge of white from 4am Saturday until 4pm later that day with snow forecast.
But fears that this could attract Sydney-siders who are currently under strict lockdown orders due to COVID were lessened by the Orange360 general manager.
"I think that people are really starting to understand that COVID is the current front and centre enemy and that we need to defeat it, and that the only way we are going to defeat it is if we stay at home," Ms Marshall said.
"What we would ask people to do is take the snow photos, because then it means that when we have gotten through COVID that people will be itching to come out here, but just not this weekend.
"If people can put that in their messaging when they're taking snow photos if it does happen, then that would be really appreciated."
Despite what you may have read on Facebook, Ms Marshall said she hasn't seen or heard anything concrete about Sydney-siders coming out to Orange.
But there is a price to pay with that lack of visitors and she added how important it was that if you live in the city, that you support the city.
"Think about treating yourself to a Sunday breakfast out, think about what you could be doing to help businesses, because we know our local visitor economy has been decimated," she said.
"We know that we will rebound and this is just a moment in time, but we do have businesses that would normally be serving 120-150 meals on any given night and they're down to 20-30. Make the most of it, go on date night, go to the movies, go tenpin bowling.
"I would really encourage locals to support local. If you've gone from 120 to 20 meals that's a significant drop and that means they aren't staffing and we're certainly seeing that some of our restaurants have stopped lunch service and just having dinner service."
As well as snow, there is also a 95 per cent chance of rain in Orange for Saturday, with the BOM predicting a minimum temperature of zero degrees and a maximum of five.
Those showers will be big as well, with 15-20mm of rain predicted.
No snow is predicted for Sunday.
