Mr Pop specialises, custom-made engagement rings and wedding jewellery using ethically-mined, fully-traceable, Canadian diamonds for people in Orange and the surrounding community.
With access to hundreds of designs on his website, apopjewels.com, he said he can cater for any budget, whether it be a simple band and small stone or a $100,000 glamour piece.
Mr Pop runs his business through his website, and can meet clients in face-to-face or via Zoom for obligation-free consultations at a customer's home or other convenient location.
He said he does not keep stock pieces so there is no compromise for customers when they choose from among hundreds of designs, and he can work with the client to design a bespoke piece they envisage.
"I've been working with engagement rings for over 20 years," he said. "I don't have any overheads so my prices will be the most competitive."
Mr Pop moved to Orange three years ago and trained at Tiffany & Co, where he worked for five years, he also managed fine jewellery and watches for Louis Vuitton in Sydney, and worked at Fairfax and Roberts in Sydney.
New home for Orange City Tyres
Orange City Tyres has relocated to Edward Street. Manager Matthew Roach has worked for the company for six years and said the business has been running for 19 years.
He said the move was due to an opportunity for cheaper rent. "It's just a nice little business, we are not owned by a bigger company," Mr Roach said.
The relocation follows the retirement of previous owners Barry and Christine Wicks. Glenn Thomas took over the business in April last year.
"Everything is staying the same, it's a nice little local store, we offer more personal service," Mr Roach said.
He said the business can cover most brands and covers tyres from mower tyres through to tyres for tractors and trucks.
Business awards
Orange City Council has approved $2000 in sponsorship for the Orange Business Awards, which are set to take place at The Hotel Canobolas on August 20.
