Fire and Rescue NSW Orange Station Officer Matt Jeffery said the crews received the call at 1.14am on Saturday.
He said the two trucks from the Orange station responded to the fire at Currong Crescent, near Pindari Place.
"I believe that fire was confined to the room of origin and fortunately didn't spread ," he said.
"I think it was at the front of the house.
"People there were able to evacuate prior to the arrival of Fire and Rescue."
Mr Jeffery said the fire was extinguished by about 2.30pm.
He said the cause of the fire is now under investigation and it was "possibly accidental".
