The painting was done in the 1960s based off a photograph from ring events at the 1925 Orange Show.
Orange Show historian Sue Milne said the painting had been displayed at the Red Arch Cafe but the cafe has closed and a new cafe will be run in the Naylor Pavilion.
Due to the cafe closure, the painting has been relocated to be the feature exhibit in a historical display from the show's 149 year history.
Miss Milne said the historic display will be held in the Williams Pavilion.
She said the painting was originally located in the grandstand dining hall and was moved to the Red Arch in 1995 when the grandstand was demolished.
Miss Milne is encouraging people to also bring in historic photos, trophies, artifacts and information ahead of the show's 150th anniversary next year.
People can also get in touch with her by emailing history@orangeshowsociety.org.au to contribute items for the 150th anniversary.
The show will run from 8am to 9pm on Saturday and from 8am on Sunday.
