About 2.30pm on Wednesday, officers attached to Orana Mid-Western Police District attended a motel on Brisbane Street, Dubbo, after receiving reports of drug-related activity.
Following inquiries, police arrested a 20-year-old man near the intersection of Macquarie and Wingewarra Streets, following a short foot pursuit.
Police will allege the man discarded about 6g of methylamphetamine (ice) in a carpark on Holls Lane during the incident.
A short time later, detectives executed a search warrant at a motel room.
During the search, a further 3.5 grams of methylamphetamine (ice) and drug paraphernalia was located.
Officers also located more than $20,000 cash, which was seized.
The man was taken to Dubbo Police Station and charged with supply prohibited drug (indictable quantity) and knowingly deal with proceeds of crime.
He was granted strict conditional bail at Dubbo Local Court on Thursday and will reappear before Dubbo Local Court on May 20.
