"There's a a few different things I feel quite strongly about," he said.
He said providing workers with an all-day car park in the city would be valuable for them and would free up timed spaces for shoppers.
Mr Drage, who also recently became vice-president of the Orange Business Chamber, said the dedicated car park worked in Penrith, where he had previously worked, and said it could work here.
"I moved to Orange five-six years ago. I've chosen to make Orange my home," he said.
"There's no representation [on council] for those who have moved to Orange."
Mr Drage said he could provide a 'different set of eyes and different views' for both people new to Orange and those who were born and bred in the city.
He said while he accepted that everyone was entitled to their opinion he wanted the council to be cohesive.
"It's not helpful, councillors not liking each other," he said.
Mr Drage said he had worked with the NSW Business Chamber and also the council in Penrith as a business operator.
He said he planned to bring the experience he had with those bodies outside of Orange to council.
Mr Drage runs the Games n More business.
