Each group will deliver a performance alongside the light show, including animal dances of the snake and eagle.
Didgeridoo player Uncle Rick will also perform.
The dance groups will feature a mixture of people from the Blue Mountains and Orange.
Michael Newman, the Operations Manager at the Orange Aboriginal Medical Service, welcomed the inclusion of an Indigenous theme at the Light Up Orange event.
"The Acknowledgement of Country is a special part of any event, but when combined with the light show and talented performers, Orange will see just how vibrant and colourful the history and culture of this land is," he said.
Light Up Central West committee president Craig McMahon said it was important that first show should pay tribute to the "the first stories told on this land.
"We're so excited to be working closely with the Aboriginal community on this event, and it's something that's going to make the occasion even more memorable" he said.
"It's going to be an amazing night."
Tickets ($5 each) to the Light Up Orange event at Wade Park are available via Facebook, Instagram, Eventbrite and the Orange City Council website.
As part of COVID-19 restrictions entry to the event is only via tickets bought in advance. No tickets will be sold at the gate.
The event will run from 6.30pm-9.45pm and feature a series of laser shows produced by Sydney company Laservision.
It will also be livestreamed on YouTube from 8.30pm.
