A total fire ban has been declared for the Orange region from midnight tonight.

The ban for Sunday, November 29, was announced on Saturday afternoon after temperatures topped 34 degrees during the day.
The total fire ban will run for 24 hours from midnight, during which time the lighting or maintaining of a fire in the open is strictly prohibited.
As of Saturday afternoon, the fire danger rating for the Central Ranges Fire Area which includes Orange, Blayney, Cabonne and Cowra was "very high".
The forecasted temperature for Sunday is 31 degrees, with the fire risk remaining at "very high".
"Weather is expected to be warm and quite windy during the morning with conditions hopefully easing early afternoon," Orange Rural Fire Brigade said, urging residents to report all fires to 000.
General purpose hot works (such as welding, grinding or gas cutting or any activity that produces a spark or flame) are also not to be done in the open.
Lighting a fire on a day of total fire ban carries the penalty of an on-the-spot fine of $2200.
