Ronald John Trudgett, 51, of Jubilee Avenue, was stopped by police for random testing in Peisley Street at 11.26am on February 13.
Trudgett attended Orange Courthouse on Monday and said he wanted to plead guilty but he was not present during sentencing.
Magistrate David Day said Trudgett had a bad driving recording including high-range drink-driving, low-range drink-driving, and a mid-range drink-driving from last century.
Mr Day convicted Trudgett, fined him $660 and disqualified his driver's licence for six months.
