Drivers are urged to be cautious over coming days after a truck jack-knifing near Canowindra blocked the road after becoming bogged.
A car carrier with three rental cars on the back of the truck became bogged after driving on the edge of Canowindra Road just after lunchtime on Wednesday.
Police closed the road for 15 or 20 minutes while a local farmer assisted the driver.
Central West Police District chief inspector Peter Atkins said no-one was injured and no cars were dislodged by the incident.
The local farm assisted the driver to free themselves from the mud while police closed the road to allow space for the truck to get back on the road.
In another incident, emergency services including ambulances had been called to the scene of a two-car crash in Parkes.
The crash, at the intersection of Bogan Road and Grenfell Road, happened at about 3.30pm.
