He is a handsome, five-year-old male purebred Australian kelpie.
Rex loves to run around and is searching for the perfect family to show him all their love he could want.
Kelpies are an active working-dog breed so Rex will need an active family that can take him on long walks to keep him happy and healthy.
He will also need to have a very large yard or a property to run around on to expel all the energy that he has.
Although he is energetic, Rex is also a very well mannered boy and will follow you around everywhere.
He sits on command every time and has great recall.
It is recommended that Rex not go to a home with kids under the age of six years of age as he has very high energy levels and can get jumpy when over-excited.
It is also recommended that he does not go to a home with cats as he dislikes them.
Rex is currently being looked after at the RSPCA shelter in William Street.
If you think that you are the family that Rex has been searching for, come down and meet him today. The shelter is currently open every day except Tuesdays and Thursdays and public holidays.
Like all pets that that rehomed through the RSPCA, Rex has been desexed, wormed, flea treated, microchipped and vet checked.
