Mrs Zuman has started Leave it to Lucy, which puts together and ships gift hampers.
"There was a gap in the market - there was nothing I could find other than wine and food hampers," she said.
The hampers consist of a minimum of three items along a certain theme, including pampering, jewellery and accessories, tea and kitchen, bathroom, home and garden and outdoors.
Mrs Zuman attended The Huddle conference earlier this year and said it gave her the courage to follow through with her idea.
"It gave me the chance to meet people who are now stockists for my hampers," she said.
She said her hampers focused on #buyfromthebush.
Raising others up
KARLA McDiarmid has been offering business advice for years and she is now making it formal.
The owner of Macquarie Medispa in Orange and Bathurst has created Secrets to Success, which launched on Monday.
The online program offers advice across a variety of areas from networking to marketing.
"I speak to business owners who don't get a wage and I thought I would share what's worked for me," she said.
Ms McDiarmid said with many businesses struggling with COVID-19, it was the ideal time to work on their businesses.
Cafe facelift
LIKE many businesses forced to close due to COVID-19 restrictions, Frank and Kathryn Mohun of Nile Street Cafe are getting stuck into work behind the scenes.
The couple decided to renovate the cafe's interior ready for when they could reopen.
"We were originally going to do it this year anyway but it's been a really good opportunity because we've had a lot more time to do more thoroughly," Mr Mohun said.
"We said let's not waste it and do something productive."
The owners have typically made changes during normal closing times, meaning changes to the property have been gradual.
"This is going to be quite dramatic," Mr Mohun said.
He said the work including a lick of paint and lighting.
"We're trying to get a more natural and organic feel in line with our food," he said.
