A man will face court after an investigation into a home invasion where an elderly woman was allegedly assaulted.

On Sunday, September 15, 2019, a 61-year-old woman was asleep in her Leura Road home when she was woken by a noise.
The woman was confronted by a man.
The man allegedly assaulted the women and took cash and other personal possessions before he ran from the scene.
Officers from Central West Police District launched an investigation into the incident with the assistance of detectives and crime scene officers.
A 37-year-old man was taken from a correctional facility to Bathurst Police Station where he was charged over the incident.
The man's charges include break, enter and stealing in aggravated circumstances, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, robbery in circumstances of aggravation and intimidation with the intention of causing fear of physical or mental harm.
He will remain in police custody and appear in Orange Local Court later this month.
