Stuart Carolan, 45, of Bundarra Crescent, was sentenced to a total of 13 months jail with a seven-month non-parole period from October 14 to May 13, for smashing three glass window panes and intimidation.
According to police, Carolan was intoxicated when he rode a pushbike to the house on October 14 with the intention of retrieving another pushbike he'd left at the house on the previous day.
However, because he couldn't ride two bikes at once, one of his friends told him they would drop the bike off at his address the next day but Carolan became enraged.
He started hitting the laundry window with his hands causing the glass to break.
After again being told his bike would be delivered to him the next day Carolan used a tyre iron to smash a kitchen window and said "f*** with me motherf****** youse are dead. You f***heads."
He then threw the tyre iron through the window where it went through a fly screen and landed in the sink.
Police found Carolan in Jubilee Avenue at 6.15pm that evening.
While speaking to police he said, "you should take out an AVO on his behalf and please do [it] will stop me from slitting their throat".
A 12-month apprehended violence order, with non-contact provisions, has been issued to protect the victims.
Carolan had been in custody since October 14 when he appeared before magistrate Roger Prowse in Orange Local Court via a video link.
Solicitor Simeon Miller said before Carolan went into custody for this matter he was studying drug and alcohol counselling.
"The victims were lifelong friends, he still considers them friends," Mr Miller said.
"He won't go near them or pursuant to the AVO, he would like to rebuild the friendship at some stage."
Mr Miller said alcohol was an issue for Carolan who had already arranged alcohol rehabilitation for when he is released next year.
