Emergency services attended the scene at 4.30am to find the car extensively damaged by fire.
Central West Police District Chief Inspector Peter Atkins said the keys to the Captiva were believed stolen during an earlier break and enter on Davidson Circuit.

Chief Inspector Atkins said police had consulted CCTV footage and undertaken forensic analysis on the vehicle.
