Central West Police District officers are investigating the three incidents, which occurred in the early hours of Friday morning.
Orange Fire and Rescue responded to a call about a yellow Audi which was set alight behind a toilet block in Newman Park on Autumn Street in East Orange shortly before 4am. The car was destroyed by the blaze.
Police attended to the scene, and attempted to stop the vehicle and apprehend the driver, who ignored their attempts and drove away.
Earlier in the night a council vehicle was taken from the McLachlan Street works depot.
At about 1.20am an unknown person or persons entered the depot’s building via a ground-floor window.
Police believe the building’s desks and cupboards were rummaged through, although it is unknown if any property was stolen from inside the building.

But a white Nissan Navara was taken from the location, and at 4.52am police were called to Glenroi after reports of the vehicle being driven erratically.
Police attended to the scene, and attempted to stop the vehicle and apprehend the driver, who ignored their attempts and drove away.
A pursuit was initiated, ending a short time later when the driver stopped the vehicle and fled the scene on foot.
At this stage no arrests into the matter have been made, and police have commenced an investigation into the matter and are seeking any information from the public.
The offences are the latest in a growing list of car thefts and fires in Orange.
Last month police responded to eight incidents where stolen cars had been set alight and another incident involving a caravan.
