Mr Moody, the principal of Moody’s Wines at Emu Swamp, passed away last weekend at the age of 75.
In addition to his work with the NSW Department of Primary Industries and Moody’s Wines, Mr Moody was a volunteer teacher at Spring Hill and Manildra public schools.
“Tony’s outstanding contribution to tourism in Cabonne and the Orange region will be sorely missed, and on behalf of the council I pass on my condolences to his family,” Cr Beatty said.
“I’m sure all those who worked with Tony over his many years on that committee will be extremely saddened by his death.”
Mr Moody’s funeral was at Holy Trinity Anglican Church. He is survived by his sons Andrew and Robert.
