According to the seven-day forecast at www.weatherzone.com.au, thunderstorms are possible from Monday through to Friday in the coming week.
The predictions are based on the Bureau of Meteorology’s forecasts, and paint a worrying picture for residents, especially in the wake of several bushfires sparked in the region by lightning strikes on Wednesday night.
The silver lining is the likelihood of some rain to accompany the storms, with a 60 per cent chance of up to 10 millimetres on Wednesday and a 40 per cent chance of the same on Thursday.
The remaining days may see somewhere between and one and five millimetres of precipitation.
There’s likely to be some relief from the recent summer swelter, with temperatures predicted to remain below 30 degrees until Saturday, when a top of 31 degrees is forecast.
