There’s so much more to their role in the game, and the four you have to choose from well and truly prove that.
Do you go with the experience of Dubbo’s Peter Nau or perhaps someone who can motivate an entire side, like Orange City’s Josh Tremain?
All four finalists are strong in their position and you’ve got a tough decision to make.
You can only pick one, so make your vote count.
THE CONTENDERS:
Charlie Dunhill - Cowra Eagles
Known as “The Dragon” in rugby circles, Dunhill is able to play hooker, prop or second row.
He is aggressive at the breakdown but is also a good runner with the ball and regularly gets the Eagles over the advantage line.
Peter Nau - Dubbo Kangaroos
This man gives the Dubbo Kangaroos a wealth of experience having played for Central West and NSW Country.
He’s a passionate footballer who puts in the hard work on and off field to make sure he is a strong performer.
Nau’s solid with the line-out throw and tough in defence.
Max Keith - Parkes Boars
One of Keith’s biggest assets is his versatility.
The young hooker has played for Central West in the under 20s and open sides.
He can also play prop and his mobility and strength make him hard to bring down when he’s carrying the ball.
Josh Tremain - Orange City Lions
This man is the heart and soul of the Orange City forwards.
He’s not huge, but he’s tough and never takes a backward step.
Come line-out time, his throws are reliable and the former Central West player is able to fire up the Lions when needed.
One of the principal reasons for the Lions’ incredible unbeaten run over the last two seasons.
