Tink (Randwick-Petersham) and Cornish (Penrith) were each selected to compete in the under 16s competition which as of Wednesday, had completed three of the seven rounds.
Cornish struggled with the bat early on, being run out for five and one in the first two rounds, but he made up for it with the ball. He bagged two wickets in each of the opening round wins.
He came alive with the bat in round three when he scored 61 not out to guide his side home in a victory over Fairfield-Liverpool.
Penrith are one of five teams who are undefeated after three rounds, although Northern District, Sydney and Manly-Warringah each have a bonus point to their names, while St George sits fourth on net run rate.
Tink opened his campaign with a 45 against UNSW and backed it up three days later when he scored 71 against Bankstown. He also managed an unassisted run out in the second round game to dismiss Harjapan Singh for a diamond duck.
His third game didn't go quite to plan though, as he was caught out for a second ball duck.
Randwick are one of five teams to have lost all three of their games so far, but a decent net run rate could keep them in with a chance of making the finals should they turn their form around.
After another game this week, teams will take a break before play resumes on January 11.
