There were no new confirmed cases of COVID-19 at the facility on Sunday, and no cases at its sister facility Calare Aged Care.
However, a spokesperson for parent company Allity Aged Care confirmed there were 12 cases at Gosling Creek with six staff members and six residents testing positive on Saturday. The facility is in lockdown for an unspecified period of time.
At one of the city's other major aged-care facilities, Uniting Wontama, it was believed a staff member may have been a close contact of COVID-19 but they have since tested negative and the facility is taking further precautions.
An Allity spokeswoman said although there's no cases at Calare staff are wearing elevated PPE, including masks and eye protection, and the facility is asking for community cooperation to reduce visitors until the situation calms down. "We are watching it very closely," she said.
Management at Gosling Creek have also moved to assure the families and friends of residents they are doing all they can to combat the outbreak at the aged care facility.
The spokesperson said Gosling Creek has an outbreak management plan in place for COVID-19 which led to the detection of the first case last week.
"All staff members at Gosling creek, including allied health contractors, are fully vaccinated," they said.

The Allity spokesperson said 86 per cent of Gosling Creek's residents are also fully vaccinated and 68 per cent of those have received their booster shot.
Allity's COVID-19 management includes Rapid Antigen Testing and wearing appropriate PPE consistent with the health directions and routine testing.
"As part of that process, we identified a symptomatic resident who subsequently tested positive to COVID-19," the spokesperson said.
"Once we became aware of the positive case, we reported it immediately to the Public Health Unit. Since that time a further six staff and five residents have returned positive test results. Contact tracing is underway, and all close contacts will be required to get tested and self-isolate."
It is not known how long Gosling Creek will remain in lockdown but management is encouraging family to stay in touch via zoom calls. Visits on compassionate grounds will be considered.
All staff are required to wear full personal protective equipment and will be restricted to working in assigned areas to limit any cross-over of staff.
Residents are restricted to their rooms until management is given clearance by the local public health unit to lift the lockdown measures. The home has been deep-cleaned.
Orange's current COVID numbers have prompted other aged care facilities to take precautionary action with Ascott Gardens in East Orange going into preventative lockdown for two weeks, with a review next week.
In a letter to residents' families, management acknowledged it was a tough decision considering Christmas was just around the corner.
Uniting Wontama is also taking precautions and has rostered additional case workers and cleaning staff to help with increased care and cleaning requirements although it also doesn't have any positive COVID-19 cases.
"We have been advised by the Public Health Unit that, at this stage, COVID-19 testing of residents is not required," a spokeswoman said.
"However, as a precautionary measure, we have suspended visits to the home for the time being and we are isolating all residents. We have communicated to all residents and their families about the need for isolation measures."
Preparation for an outbreak includes strongly promoting vaccinations and at Wontama 100 per cent of employees and residents have been fully vaccinated for COVID-19, 79 per cent of residents have had their booster.
The outbreak comes as Orange recorded 16 cases in the reporting period to 8pm on Friday night, its largest single day number. There were also a further 10 cases recorded in Orange as of 8pm Saturday.
