Turner's Furniture One owner Steve Turner leapt at the chance to buy the business following the retirement of previous owners, the Bobeldyk family.
"The family have had the business there for 30 years," Mr Turner said.
He said he already owned stores in Young, Cootamundra, Forbes, Cowra, Bathurst and Temora.
"It made a lot of sense for our marketing and location to have another outlet," Mr Turner said.
He said the rapid population growth in Orange also made it a "no brainer".
"The opportunity came up and I don't think it would come up again."
Mr Turner said because the business was family owned and run and they all stepped down he has hired all new staff.
The store has also undergone a renovation inside to modernise it and give it a fresh new look prior to opening in the lead up to Christmas.
He said the shop is open in lead up to Christmas, is stocking new brands, as well as previous brands and has furniture that is available this week.
