Central West Police District officers have opened an investigation following the alleged, aggravated attack on Glenroi Avenue late on December 3.
The man was approached by a group of unknown people between 11pm and 11.30pm on the Friday night and, police believe, one of the group punched the man, causing him to fall to the ground unconscious.
When the 20-year-old man woke up, his personal belongings - including his wallet, cash, cap and mobile phone - had been stolen.
The man sought medical treatment the following day and reported the incident to local police.
Inquiries into the alleged assault continue, and police have released CCTV images and wish to speak with the group of people who they believe can assist with the investigation.
Anyone with information about this incident, including dashcam or CCTV footage from the area at the time of the offence, is urged to contact Crime Stoppers: 1800 333 000 or https://nsw.crimestoppers.com.au. Information is treated in strict confidence.
