COVID-19 case numbers continue to rise in the Orange Local Government Area, with four new infections in the latest reporting period bringing the total number of active cases in our LGA to 65 in the last month.

However, the Cabonne LGA has earned some relief, with no new cases in that LGA in the 24 hours to 8pm on Sunday night. There has been 66 cases of COVID-19 in the Cabonne LGA since November 29.
Across the Western NSW Local Health District seven new cases were identified.
The four new cases in Orange are joined by two in Bathurst and one in the Mudgee area. There has been 23 new cases of COVID-19 identified in Orange in the last four days alone.
The Western NSW LHD has also issued a health warning, alerting Orange residents to a new venue of concern in the city at the Waratah's Sportsground on Telopea Way, December 3.
Those in attendance at the Little Athletics event on that date between the hours of 5.30pm to 7.30pm are being urged to monitor for symptoms and present for testing.
An announcement from Central West Gymsports has also confirmed a positive case at the sports venue.
CWG confirmed the member had attended gym classes with the undetected virus on Thursday, December 9, from 4pm to 4:45pm and Friday, December 10, from 3:45pm to 5:30pm.
CWG have said they will notify close contacts of the positive case and will remain closed until further direction under the guidance of NSW Health.
Drive-through testing for Orange residents will continue operating out of Wade Park and the Orange Showground from 8am to 4pm.
Weekend testing at Wade Park is Saturday, 8am to 11am.
The old Clancy Motors building in Bathurst will also continue operating for testing in Howick Street between the same hours.
Close to 700 people in Newcastle have been deemed as close contacts following a case exposure at a Newcastle nightclub last Wednesday night, December 8.
The origin of these cases have been linked to the Sydney Harbour boat cruise party from positive cases on December 3.
Queensland borders are now open to interstate travellers from today Monday, December 13.
Entry requirements will insist that travellers are fully vaccinated and will involve COVID-19 testing within 72 hours of arrival and again five days post-entry into the state.
Border passes will also need to be applied for prior to entry and will need to be displayed before entry will be permitted across any of the QLD border points.
Statewide, NSW has recorded 536 new locally acquired COVID-19 cases in the 24-hour reporting period to 8pm on Sunday. This figure is up by 51 from the previous report.
There are 171 hospital cases receiving treatment for the virus and 24 cases in ICU. Zero COVID-related deaths were recorded.

The state's vaccination target to trigger further easing of restrictions draws closer this week.
Restrictions for NSW will lift at the 95 per cent full vaccination rate for those 16+, or December 15; whichever comes first.
The first dose figure is at 94.8 per cent, with 93.1 per cent of adults 16+ fully vaccinated.
Figures for people aged 12-15 are at 81.4 per cent for one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine received and 77.7 per cent of people aged 12-15 have received two doses.
Testing figures are at 74,997 in the last 24-hour period.
