FIVE cases of COVID-19 have emerged across the Central Western region following Thursday's report in the 24-hours leading up to 8pm.

Of the five cases, Western NSW Local Health District announced three in Orange and another two for Molong.
There were no new cases identified across the remainder of the Central Western region.
Principal of Orange Christian School, Ken Greenwood, has advised families within the primary sector of the school to self isolate after receiving new health information from parents within the community.
Two families had reported that a parent from each family unit had returned positive COVID-19 results on Thursday, December 9.
Drive-through testing for Orange residents will continue operating out of Wade Park and the Orange Showground from 8am to 4pm, seven days.
The Old Railway Station has extended testing period and will remain in Molong until Tuesday, December 14, from 10am to 3pm.
Weekend track-goers from Bathurst 1000 are still being urged to monitor for COVID-19 symptoms after a positive case emerged during the race weekend, December 4 and 5.

Statewide, NSW has recorded 516 new locally acquired COVID-19 cases in the 24-hour reporting period to 8pm on Thursday.
This figure is up by 96 cases from the previous report.
No COVID-related deaths were reported and 158 hospital cases are receiving treatment for the virus, with 24 cases in ICU.
The state's vaccination target to trigger further easing of restrictions will happen at 95 per cent full vaccination rate for those 16+, or December 15; whichever comes first.
The Therapeutic Goods Administration has been granted provisional approval for the use of the Pfizer vaccine in children aged five to 11 years-old.
First dose figures are at 94.7 per cent, with 93 per cent of adults 16+ fully vaccinated.
Figures for people aged 12-15 are at 81.4 per cent for one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine received and 77.5 per cent of people aged 12-15 have received two doses.
Testing figures are at 90,223 in the last 24-hour period.
