The LGA went eight days without a new case, before Western NSW Local Health District (WNSWLHD) announced two in Friday's update.
Up to 8pm Thursday, there were five new cases across the health district: one in Bathurst, one in Dubbo, one in Cowra and two in Orange.
Prior to Friday's new cases, the last time Orange recorded new cases was Wednesday, October 27.
In the last 24 hours, there were 2134 COVID-19 tests conducted across WNSWLHD, and one person was admitted to hospital.
Orange's two new cases comes ahead of regional NSW's first weekend of being open to Greater Sydney residents again. Wineries around the region have been reporting a surge in bookings for this coming Saturday and Sunday since Monday, November 1.
Across the state, there were 249 COVID-19 new cases and three deaths in the 24 hours to 8pm last night.
89.1 per cent of the NSW population aged 16 years and older is now fully vaccinated, while 93.8 per cent have had a single dose.
There are 285 cases in hospital, and 61 in ICU.
The NSW-Victorian border has also been thrown open from today.
Premier Daniel Andrews and his NSW counterpart Dominic Perrottet issued a joint statement on Thursday night announcing the states would open their borders to each other from Friday.
Travel between the two states had already been unrestricted for the fully vaccinated from Monday.
