Anthony 'Lehmo' Lehmann - aka Jim from ABC's Utopia - and returning talent Steve Philp will headline Factory Espresso's upcoming shows this Friday and Saturday November 12 and 13.
"We had quite a few shows booked over the COVID period and we had to postpone at least three of them, so yeah, it's wonderful to have live comedy back," said Factory Espresso co-owner Nick Gleeson.
"Lehmo was one of the postponed shows in June, so the fact that he can now come to do this one - he's really excited to do it."
Best known as the perennially positive government liaison officer Jim Gibson in the TV show, Utopia, Lehmo has headlined at comedy clubs for more than fifteen years.
He can be heard on ABC Radio's Grandstand on weekends, and on the Triple M network across the week.
He's currently a panelist on the popular Channel 10 news comedy program The Project, and the host of AFL comedy quiz show, The Beep Test on Fox Sports.
Starting out on an acting career, Steve Philp starred in kids' stage shows such as Barney the Dinosaur and Blinky Bill as well as working with The Wiggles on The Dorothy the Dinosaur show.
He says he "quickly found kids to be on his level of intelligence."
He then moved into stand-up comedy and made the finals of competitions such as Triple J Raw and Green Faces, before touring the country for the last eight years with comedians such as Carl Barron, The Umbilical Brothers, Adam Hills and a number of international acts such as Arj Barker and Paul Provenza.
Factory Espresso's comedy nights have been running since October 2017, with close to 60 shows to date. Previous acts have included, Bob Downe, Peter Berner, Julia Wilson, Lawrence Mooney, Tom Gleeson and Aaron Chen.
Mr Gleeson said after this year's interruptions, it was a great feeling to be able to bring the shows back.
"We really love doing them because the community loves coming along and loves participating in it," he said.
"And after COVID and lockdowns everyone is dying to get out."
Tickets are available from factoryespresso.com.au or from the Factory Espresso Facebook page.
The price includes canapés and 90 minutes of comedy.
