A celebrant, Mrs Noller runs her business in town and said Saturday was very busy.
"We had phone calls, emails and text messages from all the couples that are wanting to potentially bring their weddings forward," she said.
"It's all guns blazing to make sure we get the ok on everything and then lining up their photographer and making sure the guests can be there."
The new rules mean that from 12.01am on Friday, September 3, couples will be able to marry once again, with a maximum of five guests in attendance plus those necessary to the service.
While this is great news for some, others are still holding off on tying the knot.
"Unfortunately there have been plenty of couples, even with the smaller wedding, they've decided to postpone considering they can't have their family and friends," Mrs Noller added.
"They still want to hold out for the big celebration which I totally understand.
"It's been a very stressful ride for them and my heart really breaks for them. For some couples this is not their first postponement, so to then have to do it a second or third time is quite stressful for them."
The celebrant is still waiting for final confirmation on who exactly is deemed necessary to the service, so as not to dash any couples' hopes.
But one thing is for certain, 2022 will be busy.
"All things going clearly and safely then next year is going to be a pretty hectic year," she added.
