The positive test result follows a call to the community to get tested after detections of fragments of the virus in the Parkes sewage on several occasions since August 11.
That latest warning was issued on Sunday morning, along with other detections in Orange and Lithgow.
There's now active cases of COVID-19 in a throng of Local Government Areas across the Western NSW Local Health District and Far West LHD.
There's now positive cases in Orange, Bathurst, Mudgee, Wellington, Narromine, Gilgandra, Warren, Coonamble, Walgett, Bourke, Brewarrina, Broken Hill and Dubbo, where there's now 202 active cases with half of those from an unknown source.
Investigations and contact tracing are under way to identify any potential locations where transmission may have occurred in Parkes.
Residents are once again being urged to attend for testing if they have even mild cold-like symptoms or any concerns.
Drive-thru testing will open again at Parkes Showground tomorrow (Monday) from 9am to 4pm.
Testing is available every weekday 9am to 4pm and 10am to 3pm weekends.
