Bunnings regional operation manager Robyn Hudson said the store had undergone multiple deep cleans since the person visited between 8:05am-8:20am on Monday August 16.
"Importantly the customer was wearing a face mask, as were our team," she said.
"The store has undergone six deep cleans using antiviral disinfectants since the visit, with an additional deep clean to take place [Sunday].
"We have continued to undertake deep cleans on a daily basis throughout the pandemic."
NSW Health has told Bunnings it was a casual contact site and therefore did not require the store to close.
It had also advised staff working at the time of the customer visit to immediately get tested and self-isolate until they returned a negative test result.
