According to police, Corey James Coomber, 30, of Glenroi, was stopped by police on Sir Nevelle Howse Place for the purpose of a road-side breath test about 1am on July 3 "due to his manner of driving".
This test subsequently returned a positive mid-range reading of 0.084.
Last week when Coomber failed to appear in Orange Local Court for the drink-driving offence, he was convicted in his absence.
Magistrate David Day disqualified the 30-year-old from driving for three months and imposed a mandatory interlock device order for 12 months thereafter. He was also fined $660.
In sentencing Coomber, Mr Day remarked: "I suppose the next time we see him he'll be driving while disqualified".
