It will hold its second meeting within seven days after Orange's sudden COVID-19 lockdown forced the cancellation of its historic July 20 75th anniversary meeting.
And it should have been entering caretaker mode this week ahead of the original 2021 date for the next council polls September 4.
However with Greater Sydney's spread of COVID-19 the election has been pushed back to December 4 meaning the current councillors continue their term which had already been extended by a year.
The agenda for the meeting includes an update report on the FutureCity upgrade of the Orange CBD with work continuing in Lords Place and McNamara and Byng streets.
Council will also hear reports from its committees on proposals for faster internet coming to Orange.
Other topics include the state of the city's dog exercise parks and updates on crime statistics in the area.
