On Thursday, June 10, at the Hive, attendees will have the chance to meet and ask questions of Orange City Council candidate Steve Peterson who is running on the Refresh Orange ticket.
Mr Peterson, the lead candidate for the group, is a quadriplegic medical doctor with links to St Vinnies.
According to Mr Peterson, Refresh Orange has "the aim of bringing diversity, long term vision and a different perspective to Orange Council".
"We are people with young families who will grow up in Orange so we are very motivated to make this city the best it can be," he added.
Others in the group include: Theo Crane, a local financial planner and worker with kids in out-of-home care; Emilie Lowe - a physiotherapist who is part of numerous local sporting teams; Warwick Baines - an accountant who works at CSU and is heavily involved with Bletchington P&F and scripture teaching; Nikki Grant - an emergency medicine consultant at Orange Hospital, and Scott Hanrahan - a long-term local who works in community service youth roles.
The Meet the Candidates event will be at The Hive on Thursday from 5.15pm.
