The renowned psychologist, social researcher and author of 22 books will visit Orange on June 17 to discuss his latest work. The basis of The Kindness Revolution argues that "whether it's fires or floods or a pandemic", difficult situations have a tendency "to bring out the best" in us.
Mr Mackay's non-fiction writing covers social analysis, psychology, communication and ethics.
He is currently an honorary professor in the Research School of Psychology at the Australian National University.
The June 17 event will be at Orange City Library from 5.30 - 7pm and will be supported by Collins Booksellers.
The author's books will be available for purchase and signing at the event.
Bookings can be made online via Eventbrite or by calling the library on 6393 8132.
