Electrical proprietor Wally Martyr said the work was due for completion in September-October.
It will be first-class

"There was a vacant shop next door to us. We needed extra space and we've expanded into that space," he said.
The space has previously been occupied by furniture and homewares stores including Home Sweet Home Sofas and Living and Ace Country Furniture.
The extended store wraps around the back of the sole food shop in the complex, the Orange Pie Company.
Mr Martyr said the store would continue to trade throughout the expansion works.
He said when completed it would offer a showroom with expanded and new ranges of current items.
Mr Martyr said it would be on par with the standards of the latest Harvey Norman stores in Sydney.
"It will be first-class," he said.
Mr Martyr said it might lead to jobs being created to service the increase space and expected larger demand from customers.
