Alice Bingham was out shopping the other day when she decided to pop into Officeworks.
She was exiting the home and office product supplier when things took a turn for the worse.
"I was coming out of Officeworks and it was wet and I was walking to the car which was parked along over in the yellow painted section of the carpark," Ms Bingham said.
"I slipped as it was slippery and fell over."
You hear stories all the time about people wandering by and minding their own business.
But on this occasion, things turned out much, much differently.
"A number of people came over to see if I was ok and to help me get up from the ground," she added.
"I'm not a small person in size, and I have medical issues such as lymphedema in legs which makes it really hard for me to get up due to fluid on the knees.
"Two gentlemen, one on one arm and one on the other, helped me up when they saw me there."
The kind heartedness from the onlookers didn't stop there for Ms Bingham.
Quickly, more people started to make their way towards her to offer their assistance.
"A few others asked if an ambulance was needed or if there was anything they could do," she said.
"All was good then a couple of others saw from their car and then they went on their way."
She decided to speak out as a thank you to those kind strangers.
"It was just a thanks to people for helping really," she added.
"I ended up going to the hospital on my own due to other medications and just to get seen.
"There was just bruising on the knee and slight muscle damage in one wrist. But x-rays were done and thankfully there were no fracture, so all good."
