Speakers include a Legal Aid NSW solicitor and an aged crime prevention officer.
Mayor Cr Reg Kidd said the 'Older, wiser, safer' sessions were part of the NSW Seniors Festival.
"Sessions such as these are so important in providing older people with the information they need to stay safe and secure, and recognise the signs of abuse," he said.
"Many older people would be unaware of the prevalence of elder abuse, or how to recognise a scam."
There are sessions at 10.30am and 5pm.
Book is required and can be done online via Eventbrite or by calling the library on 6393 8132.
